As part of an America 250th road trip ahead of the country's 250th anniversary, Cruisin Couple Travel Agency toured the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum, the USS Constitution, Minute Man National Historical Park, Independence Mall in Philadelphia, Hershey Pennsylvania, the Gettysburg battlefield, and Yorktown Virginia, combining Revolutionary War history with local food stops along the East Coast.
Stop 1, Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum
A fully immersive experience where visitors throw tea into the harbor just as the Sons of Liberty did on December 16, 1773, when 341 chests of British East India Company tea went overboard.
Stop 2, USS Constitution
The oldest commissioned warship still afloat in the world, launched in 1797, docked in Charlestown and still crewed by active duty US Navy sailors.
Stop 3, Minute Man National Historical Park
On April 19, 1775, the shot heard round the world was fired at the Old North Bridge in Concord, officially starting the American Revolution.
Stop 4, Concord
Home to Louisa May Alcott, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Henry David Thoreau, and Nathaniel Hawthorne, with Sleepy Hollow Cemetery where all four are buried.
